Connect Shopify
Shopify is an optional secondary integration. Stokk uses it for product images so item cards and grids show real photos rather than SKU placeholders. Forecasting and replenishment still come from your primary ERP.
Steps
- Go to the Shopify Dev Dashboard at
dev.shopify.com (sign in with the account that owns your store) and create an app. - Give the app the
read_products access scope and install it on your store. - Open the app's Settings page and copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
- In Stokk, open Admin → Integrations and paste both into the Shopify section along with your shop's
myshopify.com domain. - Save. Stokk verifies the credentials with Shopify immediately, so a typo fails right here rather than later. Access tokens renew automatically in the background; there is nothing to rotate by hand.
Have an older static token?
Custom apps created inside the Shopify admin before 2026 came with a permanent shpat_… token. Those apps still work: click "Have a legacy static token instead?" in the Shopify section and paste the token. New apps can no longer be created this way; use the Client ID and Client Secret flow above.
What you get
- Product thumbnails throughout Stokk (item grid, replenishment, item card).
- Fast image loading: Stokk caches and resizes images; the original Shopify CDN URL is the source of truth.
If images don't appear
- The SKU on the Shopify variant must match the SKU in your ERP. If they differ, the item card stays placeholder.
- Products without a featured image in Shopify won't have an image in Stokk either.
